Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Generation Youth located?

Generation Youth is a remote mentoring company which is currently servicing regions in South Australia and Queensland (Gold Coast Region) . We are always expanding into new territory so feel free to reach out regardless of your location in Australia.

Can you work with all NDIS participants?

Currently Generation Youth can provide services to Plan and Self managed families. We can also utilise funding from Core and Capacity Building line items.

Do we have to have funding to use your service?

Absolutely not! Generation Youth is pleased to support all individuals who may be in need of support, regardless of funding.

Do you have to have a diagnosis in order to use your service?

Definitely not! Generation Youth's programs are inclusive for all individuals seeking a supportive relationship to help achieve personal goals and find their way in the community. As we tailor each experience to our clients, we are focused on individual areas of need regardless of diagnosis.

How can I describe your programs to my son/daughter?

Great question. Think of us as a big brother/sister program. Many of our mentors have similar interests to the young people we support, which is wonderful for building rapport! We love doing fun activities in the community, driven by your child's interests and needs, and we are eager for elected participation rather than forced attendance. Regardless of the activities we do, it's all about the companionships and relationships being built while we achieve our goals.

We would love a mentor but we have something on every night after school, how can we make this work?

The good news is that our mentors are flexible with mentoring times. We can organise sessions before school, during school free periods, lunch breaks, after school or even weekends. Our mentoring session can range any from 90 minutes - 4 hours. We make life easy for the parents / guardians with our pick up drop off services.
